A carrying system close to the back, for hiking over several days with medium-weight loads. The EasyFit system lets you adjust the bag while wearing it so it fits just right.
Our teams of backpacking enthusiasts have developed this bag especially for men traveling in the mountains for several days and carrying 22 to 26 lbs
Tests carried out by our Research and Development teams on the effectiveness of the Easyfit system
A user-friendly system: with the Easyfit backpack, adjustment is 2-3 times quicker; and the number of times you have to go back and start over = 0 for the Easyfit bag. Does not affect the quality of the adjustment compared to a bag with a standard adjustment system: EasyFit was rated significantly more comfortable in the 4% Friedmann statistical test; with 6 times the number of correct adjustments found.
Backpack technical tests.
We conduct lab tests to validate the following components: fabrics, buckles, straps, foams, zippers, etc. For a fabric, for example: resistance to abrasion, tearing, colorfastness under UV rays, washing, waterproofing, etc. A final test on the finished product simulates the kind of treatment to which it will be subjected over several years, to assess the strength of the assembly: the pack is filled with weights and placed on a dummy that replicates thousands of cycles of a fast walking motion.
10-year technical partnership warranty
The Strenfit component brand, Forclaz’s partner for researching and testing its components and assemblies, conducted tests simulating backpack aging. These tests were conducted on the components, the seams and the finished product. The results of these tests are used by Quechua and Strenfit to guarantee the bags for 10 years from the purchase date shown on the receipt.
How to pack a backpack?
Put your bedding at the bottom. Put heavier gear (tent, stove, food) closest to your back. Pack your clothes around these items. The groundsheet can be placed under the flap; the tent goes under the backpack if it doesn’t fit inside. Keep your waterproof jacket and fleece to hand. In the pockets, distribute the smaller items that you use during the day (sun cream, map, sunglasses, etc.). If carrying a hydration pack (water bladder), this should be placed in its special pocket along the back.
10-year warranty conditions
The warranty covers any defects/faults with the backpack, except those caused by normal wear and tear and improper use. This special 10-year warranty is only valid on production of the product itself and the sales receipt. If the product is under warranty, it will be repaired or exchanged for free. This commercial guarantee does not affect any statutory guarantees that are applicable in the country of purchase.
How to adjust your Forclaz EasyFit backpack?
First, loosen all the straps (shoulder straps, belt, load adjuster straps). PUT THE BACKPACK ON. PLACE THE BELT ON THE HIPS (it should cover your pelvic bones) and TIGHTEN IT. Then PULL THE EasyFit TOGGLES; the strap block will go round your shoulders. Finally, ADJUST THE LOAD ADJUSTER STRAPS to suit.
How is backpack volume measured?
The volume of each backpack is measured using a standardized method: we fill the main compartment as well as each pocket with little balls. We then empty the balls into a graduated container to measure the equivalent volume in liters within a few percentage points.
The empty weight indicated is that of our benchmark sample. There may be slight variations.
The Easyfit system
It lets you adjust your bag directly on your back, with just a single movement, so that it fits your body shape: for maximum comfort.
