How is backpack volume measured?

The volume of each backpack is measured using a standardized method:
we fill the main compartment, as well as each pocket, with little balls. Then we empty the balls into a graduated container that gives us the equivalent number of liters.

Backpack technical tests

We conduct tests on all the component parts in the laboratory:
fabric, buckles, straps, foam and zippers. For example, for fabrics:
resistance to abrasion and tearing, colorfastness in UV light and after washing, waterproofing, etc.
Then the finished product undergoes an accelerated test replicating the stresses on the bag over several years to test the strength of the assemblies. the pack is filled with weights and placed on a dummy that replicates thousands of cycles of a fast walking motion.

The product’s environmental impact is calculated over its entire lifecycle using different indicators. An overall rating from A to E is provided to help you easily identify the more eco-friendly products by comparing products of the same type (T-shirts, pants, backpacks, etc.)
