Convertible, versatile pants with durable reinforcements and quick-drying fabric. We also use a dyeing process that reduces water consumption.

Our team, made up of backpacking enthusiasts, developed these pants that transform into shorts to allow you to adapt to changing weather conditions.

Eco-design

We have chosen to use a more environmentally friendly dyeing process for the main fabric. Textile dyeing requires a lot of water, and also releases wastewater from the dye baths. To reduce this impact on the environment, we choose a process of dyeing in the mass, also called Dope Dyed, which integrates the color pigments from the manufacturing of the yarn.
We therefore reduce CO2 emissions by 37% compared to the old model.

Durability

To ensure durability, we use a lightweight (5.3 oz/m²) but very strong and durable fabric on the knees and seat. It is made from polyamide yarns of 200 denier on the warp and 320 denier on the weft (the denier measuring the thickness of the yarn). Indestructible!!

What is the water-repellent feature of the material?

These pants have water-repellent inserts (knees, seat) that let the water slide off the surface of the fabric. Please note that this does not mean waterproof.
The water-repellent property prevents the pants from getting wet too fast but will not keep you dry under steady rain. To do this, you will need a pair of overpants like the MT500 model (ref. 8493660).
The water-repellent properties can be restored by warming the pants in a tumble dryer at low heat for 10 minutes

Functions

To make it easy to identify the leggings without hesitation, we have used a red zipper pull on the right leg and gray on the left. So you won’t confuse the two! Partially elasticated lower legs to fit your backpacking boots better!

What about maintenance?

Always wash the pants with the lower legs zipped on in order to preserve a uniform color throughout the product.
