Our design team of backpacking experts created this cooking set to allow hikers to cook and eat with a complete, clever and lightweight set.

What is included in the cooking set?

1 measuring saucepan with 1 patented folding handle. (1.3 L in use, 8.5 oz, Ø 5.3″ x 5.5″)
2 bowls designed to reduce heat spreading (0.45 L in use, 5.1″ x 2.6″, 1.6 oz each)
2 folding spoons/forks (0.4 oz each, length 7.3″)
1 lid/strainer (1.2 oz)
1 carry case (0.6 oz)

How did we choose the materials for our cooking sets?

We chose 18/8 (304) stainless steel because it combines food safety and long-term resistance. It does not oxidize and prevents corrosion. It is very resistant and can be used with all types of utensils (including metal).

How did we choose the coating for our cooking sets?

For the TREK500 range, we haven’t used a non-stick coating so that you have a very simple product that is resistant to all conditions of use or washing. No more wondering how to carry it, or wash it without damaging it!

How did we choose the plastics for our cooking sets?

Polyamide (cutlery), polypropylene (plate, handle) and Tritan (lid) were chosen because they are lightweight and very resistant to heat (at least 212°F), impacts and deformation.
Be careful not to place the plastic parts in direct contact with a flame.

How best to use your cooking set?

Our cooking sets are compatible with all types of fires (wood, gas, induction, etc.).
The saucepan has a patented 2-part folding handle that locks the lid during transport.
The lid fits the saucepan, heats food faster and also serves as a strainer.
The bowl has a structured design that reduces heat transfer and can hold a gas cartridge (8.1 oz screw cartridge) for transportation.
The cutlery folds for easy storage.

How to store your cooking set?

The items are stored inside the cooking set. First the bowl, then the cutlery. The lid is then placed and locked by the folding handle.
The bowl and cutlery are also available for sale individually.

How to clean and care for your cooking set?

Before the first use, rinse all the items 3 times in clean water.
All the items are dishwasher safe, and, when used outside, they can be washed with soapy water or with water and sand from the river!

What should you avoid doing with your cooking set?

Never heat your saucepans empty, this will distort and damage them.
When using with a wood fire, make sure that the flames do not directly touch the plastic parts.
Close your handle properly before using the cooking set on the fire.
Never allow the flames to get too high and touch the lid as it could melt.
