The warmest down jacket

Inflating Power of down/feather filling
For this down jacket with its 85/15 filling, the inflating power is guaranteed to be 660 CUIN or above. The fill power is a measure of the down’s thermal insulation capacity and its potential to “trap” air. Down with higher fill power takes up more space, trapping more air and providing greater thermal insulation.
The advantages of duck down and feather filling*
The long-term fill power of the down gives it the following 3 qualities needed for hiking:
– Thermal insulation thanks to the air trapped in the down and the feathers
– Ultra-lightweight: down is lighter than synthetic padding while offering the same degree of warmth. This enables less weight to be carried in the rucksack
– Ultra compressible
*As part of our commitment to using responsible production methods, we have decided to work only with RDS (Responsible Down Standard) certified suppliers. This certification guarantees that the down and feathers come from ducks and geese bred for their meat, and not subjected to cruelty. In case of rain
The material of this down jacket is water repellent. It allows drops of water to slide off the fabric which delays the penetration of water into the quilted jacket while you get out of the rain. The shoulders and hood of the jacket, which are more exposed to the rain, are waterproof. We nevertheless recommend wearing a waterproof jacket over the quilted jacket in the event of prolonged exposure to the rain.
Product Testing
All our down jackets are laboratory tested with 3 mph wind, worn as a 3rd layer on a thermal mannequin (over a long sleeved t-shirt and fleece). Their level of thermal insulation is measured on a scale of 1 to 5, enabling you to make the choice that best fits your use.
