Our passionate backpacking design teams have developed this versatile 50 L bag (+ extra 10 L) for the regular trekker carrying 20 to 30 lbs

CAPACITY

Extendible volume:
50 L + 10 liters extra thanks to the adjustable height of the bag top.
The volume of each backpack is measured using a standardized method: we fill the main compartment as well as each pocket with little balls.
The balls are then emptied into a graduated container in order to determine the equivalent volume in liters, with a margin of error of just a few %

How to pack a backpack?

Put your bedding at the bottom. Carry heavy gear (tent, stove, food) closest to your back. Pack your clothes around these items. The groundsheet can be placed under the flap; the tent goes under the bag if it doesn’t fit inside. Keep your waterproof jacket and fleece to hand. In the pockets, spread out the small equipment you use during the day (sun cream, map, sunglasses, etc). If carrying a hydration pack (water bladder), this should be placed in its special pocket along the back.

Why are our rain covers gray when some trekkers want them to be brightly colored?

The gray color used for the covers of our backpacking rucksacks is neutral because it consumes less dye.
The component is made of BITON: this process allows us to lower our CO2 impact and reduce consumption and water pollution in comparison to colored models.
These small measures demonstrate the commitment of Forclaz to improve the environmental impact of its products.

10-year warranty

Our engineers have carried out simulated aging tests on these backpacks.
These tests were conducted on the components, the seams and the finished product. The results enable Forclaz to guarantee the tested bags for 10 years from the purchase date shown on the receipt
