Pitching/folding
Classic dome structure: Fit the poles on the inner tent, then attach the flysheet over it. Reverse the process to unpitch. If it is windy, it is advisable to attach the guy ropes that are provided in the tent bag.
Mattress compatibility
We recommend you use the tent with the self-inflating or backpacking mattress measuring 25.6″ maximum. We do not recommend the use of inflating mattresses over 2.4″ thick in this tent due to the reduction in living space and resistance to condensation.
Ventilation
1 high air vent at the back. Correctly position the lateral tent pegs to maintain a space between the flysheet and the ground all around the tent. The good air circulation between the bedroom and the flysheet will limit the natural phenomenon of condensation.
Waterproofing
All Quechua tents are validated in a laboratory (whole tent under 200 L/m²/h for 4 hours), as well as in the field. (2,000 mm PU-coated polyester fly sheet, 4.2 oz/m² polyethylene groundsheet, all seams sealed using thermobonded tape). A breathable polyester bedroom under the flysheet means you aren’t in contact with the condensation that forms naturally on the inside of the flysheet.
Wind resistance
We test all our tents in a wind tunnel on a turntable to expose each side of the tent to the wind. A properly pitched tent with all guy ropes fitted around the tent must remain habitable in wind speeds up to 25 mph near the ground (Force 5).
Environmental benefit: Why is your product gray?
Textile dyeing requires a lot of water but also produces waste water from the dye baths. To reduce this impact on the environment, we use only 1 mass-dyed thread out of every 2 (Bi-ton), reducing our consumption and our impact on water. So that’s why your product is gray.
Warranty / After-sales service
As designers and users who love our playing field, we care about the durability of our products, that’s why all our tents are designed to be repairable. Spare parts and pole repairs are available from your Decathlon workshop or on our website, at the following address: https://support.decathlon.fr/camping-bivouac-tp_20718 If you have a problem, have your tent looked at in your nearest Decathlon store.
The product contains:
– 1 bedroom compartment – 1 waterproof flysheet – 2 poles – 8 pegs – 4 guy ropes – 1 bag
Product Testing
Our design team conceives, plans, and designs Quechua products in France, at the foot of Mont Blanc. We test them in the field with other campers, to check their comfort and durability. From Brittany to Corsica, we go to as many places as possible, in all weather conditions. These experiences are highly beneficial for us, allowing us to hear your feedback and start thinking about our future products!
