Kids 50 L backpack, perfect for hiking or a few days’ camping. The Easyfit system lets you adjust the shoulder straps and back in one movement.
Our hiking designers developed this 50 liter rucksack for a day or several hiking on challenging trails
How to adjust your backpack?
Position the bag at the correct height and adjust it. With the belt on your hips, put the straps around the front part of your shoulders. The load adjuster straps (which are sometimes also height-adjustable) must be at an angle of around 45°. If, during testing, the back seems too short or too long, re-adjust and try again until satisfied.

Field test
All our backpacks are tested in use by target users under the same conditions as they would experience in real-life use. Our Mission Tests bring together the product manager with people who are not affiliated with Quechua to test, develop and approve the products.
Laboratory test
We conduct laboratory tests to validate the components:fabrics, buckles, straps, foam padding, zips, etc. For example, for a fabric:resistance to abrasion&tearing, colorfastness in UV light, resistance to washing, waterproofing, etc. Then,a test is conducted on the finished product replicating the accelerated demands on the backpack over a numb. of years to check the strength of the assemblies:the backpack is weighted, then placed on a dummy that reproduces the move. of fast walking over thousands of cycles.
10-year warranty, technical partnership
The heavy stitching research and development department, Quechua’s partner for researching and testing its components and assembly, conducted tests simulating backpack aging. These tests are conducted on the components, seams and finished product. Quechua and decathlon use the results to guarantee the tested bags for a period of 10 years, starting from the date of purchase indicated on the receipt.
10-year warranty, conditions
The warranty covers the defects of the backpack, excluding those resulting from normal wear and improper use. This special 10-year warranty is only valid on presentation of the product and receipt. If the product is covered by the warranty, it will be repaired or exchanged free of charge. This sales warranty does not affect the statutory rights applicable in your country/state.
How is backpack volume measured?
The volume of each backpack is measured using a standardized method: we fill the main compartment, as well as each pocket, with little balls. Then we empty these balls into a graduated container, which gives the equivalent volume in liters.
The Easyfit system
It is possible to adjust your backpack in a single intuitive step to fit your body shape while it is on your back: for maximum comfort.
How to adjust your Forclaz EasyFit backpack?
1 – Loosen all the straps (shoulder straps, belt, load adjuster straps). 2 – Put the backpack on. 3 – Place the belt on the hips (it should go around the hip bones) and tighten it. 4 -Tighten the shoulder straps. 5 – Pull the Easyfit straps and the strap block will go around your shoulders. 6 – Adjust the load adjuster straps as needed.
EasyFit effectiveness tests are carried out by our Research and Development teams
User-friendly design: adjustment time is actually 2 to 3 times quicker with the Easyfit backpack and the number of corrections = 0 for the Easyfit bag. Does not affect the quality of adjustment compared to a bag with standard adjustment: EasyFit was rated significantly more comfortable on a 4% Friedmann statistical test; users also noted better adjustments 6 times more often.
How to pack a backpack?
Put your bedding at the bottom. Place heavy gear (tent, camp stove, food) near your back. Pack your clothes around these items. The groundsheet can be placed under the flap the tent can be placed under the bag if there’s no room inside. Keep your waterproof jacket and/or fleece at hand. Place small items for daily use (sunblock, map, glasses, etc.) in the pockets. The water bladder can be placed in the compartment generally provided down the back.
Environmental measures
DECATHLON and Quechua are committed to informing you about the environmental impact of the hiking backpack products over their entire lifecycle. This work follows on from an experiment carried out from July 2011 with the French Ministry of Ecology. The scores from A to E were assigned by comparing Quechua backpacks only. Details of this project and calculation methods are available at http://developpement-durable.decathlon.com/
