Can I be sure that my jacket is warm enough for my winter hikes?

We developed your jacket for wintry conditions: cold, rain, and snow. Insulation is made from 3.5 oz/m² fill on the body and arms.
The fleece-lined hood also lets you keep your head well protected and warm.
The elastic tightening at the bottom of the jacket and sleeves is the finishing touch to ensure your jacket is comfortable.

How does my jacket protect me from outdoor conditions?

Your jacket is designed with a waterproof outer component that keeps out water and wind. To keep you warm in winter you must also protect your extremities (head, hands, feet). The warm hood, the elastic tightening at the cuffs, and the high collar prevent the cold from entering. 2 warm pockets in extremely soft fleece protect your hands from the cold.

How can I be sure that my jacket is 100% waterproof?

We designed your jacket with a coating on the outer fabric to make it waterproof. The resistance of a fabric is measured by the height of a water column in mm that can be supported by the fabric (test based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. A component with a waterproofing resistance of 2000 mm resists the pressure of 2000 mm of water (Schmerbers). Validated in a shower test under 60 L/m²/hour of water, which is equivalent to a 2 hour rain shower.

Water often gets in through the seams. Does my jacket have waterproof seams?

Your jacket taped main seams make it waterproof. Waterproof tape is added to the seams inside the garment to make them watertight so that water cannot enter through the more vulnerable areas.
We have checked the waterproofing with a specially designed shower test to reproduce conditions under a 2 hour rain shower. We also wore it in the field in all weather conditions to make sure that it is suited to your activities.

How to preserve the technical qualities of my jacket?

The water-repellent property of a fabric is its capacity to make water run off its surface without absorbing it. As a result, the fabric does not soak up water and stays light, breathable, and warm. A fabric is made water-repellent by applying a treatment to its outer surface. This treatment needs to be renewed during the lifetime of the garment (we recommend with every wash). Products (spray or liquid) for this purpose are available in our stores.

How does my product warranty work?

This product is guaranteed for 2 years from the date shown on the sales receipt. A product covered by the warranty will be exchanged free of charge. The warranty covers product defects, excluding those resulting from normal wear and tear and improper use.

How to dress properly for snow hiking?

To dress properly in winter, whatever your activity, we recommend using the 3-layer principle:
layer 1: The high-tech base layer transfers moisture away from the body to keep your skin dry.
layer 2: The 2nd layer (fleece, sweater) provides warmth and transfers moisture outward.
layer 3: The jacket protects from the outdoor conditions: rain, snow, wind.
The whole outfit must be breathable in order to eliminate moisture.
