Can I be sure that my jacket is warm enough for my winter hikes?

We have developed this jacket for winter weather: cold, rain, and snow. The insulation is made of 3.5 oz/m² fill on the body and arms.
With its fleece-lined hood, you can keep your head protected and warm.
The elasticated tightening at the bottom of the jacket and sleeves add the finishing touch to ensure your jacket is comfortable.

How does my jacket protect me from outdoor conditions?

Your jacket is designed with a waterproof outer component that keeps out water and wind. In winter, to stay warm, you must also protect your head, hands, and feet. The warm hood, elastic fastenings at the cuffs, and high collar keep out the cold. 2 warm, very soft fleece pockets protect your hands from the cold.

How can I be sure that my jacket is 100% waterproof?

We designed your jacket with a coating on the outer fabric to make it waterproof. We measure a fabric’s resistance to water pressure, expressed in terms of the height of a water column in mm (based on the ISO 811 standard)The higher the water pressure the more waterproof the fabric. A component with a 2000 mm waterproof rating can withstand the pressure of a 2000 mm column of water (Schmerber)Validated in a shower test under 60 L/m²/hour of water, which is roughly equivalent to a 2h rain shower.

Water often gets in through the seams. Does my jacket have taped seams?

Your jacket taped main seams make it waterproof. Waterproof tape is added to the seams inside the garment to make them watertight so that water cannot enter through the more vulnerable areas.
We validated the waterproofing with a shower test specially designed to replicate the conditions of a 2-hour shower. We also wore it in the field in all weather conditions to make sure that it is suited to your activities.

How to preserve the technical qualities of my jacket

The water-repellency of a fabric is its ability to let the water slide off its surface, without absorbing it. This prevents the fabric from soaking up water and keeps it lightweight, warm, and breathable. The water-repellent property is achieved by treating the fabric’s exterior. This treatment must be renewed throughout the garment’s lifespan (recommended after each wash). Products (spray or liquid) for this purpose are available in our stores.

How does my product warranty work?

This product is guaranteed for 2 years from the date shown on the sales receipt. A product covered by the warranty will be repaired or exchanged free of charge. The warranty covers product defects, excluding those resulting from normal wear and tear and improper use.

How to dress properly for hiking in the snow

To dress properly in winter, whatever your activity, we recommend using the 3-layer principle:
layer 1: The high-tech base layer transfers moisture away from the body to keep your skin dry.
layer 2: The 2nd layer (fleece, sweater) provides warmth and transfers moisture outward.
layer 3: The jacket protects from the outdoor conditions: rain, snow, wind.
The whole outfit must be breathable in order to eliminate moisture.
