These warm and lightweight snow boots are easy to put on thanks to a large opening for the baby’s feet. The straps provide good grip for little ones seeking independence!
These baby après-ski or baby snow boots are designed to keep kids’ feet warm and dry when out in the snow and sledding.
How to be sure that your baby’s feet are warm when sledding in the snow
We have selected an insulating lining and filling to protect kids’ feet effectively from the cold and to look like fur-lined boots.
These warm boots have been tested in line with the ISO 20344 standard: 2011 compared with other Decathlon baby boots.
How to be sure that your baby’s feet are dry when sledding in the snow
The boot’s vamp (low thermoplastic part) is snow-proof. To make the entire boot waterproof so that you can make the most of your activities in the snow, we recommend you put the lower part of your pants/ski suit over the boot. A hook under the sole helps you to position the elastic on the pants/ski suit to give good support and therefore a good seal to keep the snow out.
How to choose the right baby snow boot size for your kid
The fit of these boots has been researched for a baby wearing (thick) ski socks without compressing the foot and therefore encouraging thermal protection.
To choose the right size, it’s recommended to measure your kid’s bare foot using the available Decathlon foot scale.
Why do these boots have large openings and straps on top of the snow boots?
These winter boots have been specially designed so that they are extremely easy to put on your baby.
The uppers in sizes 4/4.5 and 5/5.5, open on both sides, go back completely to provide a large opening for young kids’ feet.
Sizes 5/6 and 7/7.5 are open on one side. A strap provides improved grip on top of the upper for toddlers seeking independence.
What is the difference between traction and grip?
The boots’ traction depends on the number and shape of the studs (3 mm on this baby boot). The grip is dependent on the materials of the sole and the tread pattern, like the tires of your car. Traction optimizes propulsion, prevents the boot from slipping backwards when going uphill, and stabilizes the boot.
Grip prevents the boot from slipping and skidding on smooth ground or in demanding conditions (rain, snow, ice) by giving the sole grip.
Additional sustainable development information
We have improved this product with an eco-design approach:
– Accessories: We have chosen more environmentally friendly accessories compared to the previous model.
– Lining: Textile dyeing requires a lot of water and also produces waste water from the dye baths. To reduce this environmental impact, for the lining of these boots, we use a mass pigmentation process that involves adding the color pigments when the thread itself is produced.
Where can you write your baby’s name on these baby après-ski?
Space on the lining to write your kid’s name and personalize the baby après-ski. A very useful tip for finding their snow boots at daycare!
