Usage temperature
On all of our sleeping bags, we display the temperature ratings tested by an independent laboratory (AITEX) according to European standard EN 13537 11/04/2002. The comfort temperature rating is the lower limit at which a person is generally in thermal equilibrium and feels neither too cold nor too hot when resting (for a standard woman and in normal conditions of use).
Choose your sleeping bag accordingly.
What is the comfort temperature rating?
The comfort temperature rating is the lower limit at which a person is generally in thermal equilibrium and feels neither too cold nor too hot when huddled up (for a standard man and in normal conditions of use).
What you need to know about temperatures
A sleeping bag does not produce heat but retains the heat produced by the body. If you are tired and cold and you slip inside a cold, damp sleeping bag, it is very likely that you will feel cold no matter how good your sleeping bag is! These temperatures therefore depend on the person’s resistance to cold (build, fatigue, etc.), their equipment (mattress with insulation, etc.), their clothing (naked, underwear, etc.) and weather conditions (humidity, wind, etc.).
Tips before getting into your bag
Dress simply (just 1 layer of clothing is enough). Warm your extremities: hats, gloves, socks, heaters, rubbing… A flask of hot water can be used as a hot water bottle (as long as there’s no risk of it accidentally opening!). Contract your muscles (70% of the energy consumed is converted into heat) but without making any movement generating a cold airstream.
To wash your sleeping bag less often, we recommend you use a sleeping bag liner.

A score for comparing the products’ environmental impact
The product’s environmental impact is calculated over its entire lifespan, using various indicators. An overall score from A to E is given to help you easily identify the most eco-friendly products by comparing products of the same type (T-shirts, pants, rucksacks, etc.).
