Laboratory test

We make lab tests to validate the components: fabrics, buckles, straps, foams, zippers, etc. For a fabric: resistance to abrasion and tearing, colorfastness in UV light, resistance to washing, waterproofing, etc. Then, a test is conducted on the finished product replicating the accelerated demands on the backpack over a number of years to check the strength of the assemblies: the backpack is weighted, then placed on a dummy that reproduces the movement of fast walking over thousands of cycles.

10-year guarantee

This special 10-year warranty will only be granted upon presentation of the receipt and the product. If the product is covered by warranty, it will be repaired or exchanged, free of charge. User tests

Quechua has conducted tests to simulate the aging of its backpacks. These tests are conducted on the components, seams and finished product. Quechua and Decathlon use the results to guarantee the tested bags for a period of 10 years, starting from the date of purchase indicated on the receipt.
