This girl’s waterproof hiking jacket protects your child from the rain and accompanies her in all her hikes with style ! Practical since it neatly tucks away into its pocket to slide into the bag.
Our hiking designers have developed this MH150 waterproof rain jacket to protect your child when it is rainy and windy in the mountains!
Component waterproofing
This garment has been validated in a shower test under 60 L of water / sqm / hour for 2 hours. This test reproduces the average conditions of a rain shower in the mountains.
A component with a 2,000 mm waterproof rating is therefore resistant to the pressure exerted by a 2,000 mm column of water (which roughly corresponds to a 2-hour downpour).
The waterproof rating is expressed in Schmerbers (for example: 2,000 Schmerbers).
Component breathability
To find out whether a fabric is breathable, we test its evaporative resistance or RET (based on the ISO 11092 standard). The lower the fabric’s resistance, the more water vapor generated by physical activity is able to escape, and the higher the fabric’s breathability. For example: RET < 9 = extremely breathable fabric / 9 < RET < 12 = very breathable fabric / 12 < RET < 20 = breathable fabric / RET > 20 = little or no breathability.
Practical details
Can be stored in the pocket. Central zipper opening, hood, elasticated wrists and waistband
Durability of the components
Abrasion and friction resistance test: for example, we carry out laboratory tests to check that the fleeces do not pill. Colorfastness test: we check colorfastness to ensure that colors do not bleed when coming into contact with saliva. Aging test: repeated washing must not alter the fabric’s original properties, including its shape, thickness or appearance.
Care
1/ Machine wash (86 to 104°F): close rip-tap fastenings, gentle detergent. Wash jackets and pants inside out. Loosen straps and elastics. 2/ Avoid folding garment excessively in machine: this can damage it. 3/ Do not mix different types of clothes or colors. 4/ Do not use bleach. 5/ Rinse thoroughly followed by a gentle spin cycle. 6/ Dry either on a washing line or in the drier (minimum temperature, minimum duration). A score for comparing products’ environmental impact
The product’s environmental impact is calculated over its entire lifecycle using different indicators. An overall ABCDE rating is given to help you easily identify products with the best environmental performance by comparing and contrasting products of the same type (T-shirts, pants, backpacks, etc.).
Decathlon actively promotes this environmental rating initiative.
