This kids’ padded vest is warm, light and compact. It contains fill for maximum thermal insulation and is water-repellent to protect kids from a shower.

Our team, parents of young hikers, have designed this padded vest to ensure kids stay warm when hiking and in everyday life.

Insulation from synthetic fill

We use 90% recycled fill for this vest.
The padded filling has 3 appealing qualities for hiking:
– it has good thermal insulation capacity, even when wet
– it provides some breathability and may be recommended in the case of dynamic activity (feather down is recommended for static activity)
– compressibility: padded filling is highly compressible

Water-repellent properties

This functional feature is obtained by applying a hydrophobic treatment to the fabric. This process prevents water from sticking to the fabric, causing it to “slide” off without being absorbed. As a result, the garment remains lightweight, breathable, and warm.
The effectiveness of the treatment can be restored during the product’s lifetime. Use sprays that are applied to the outside, rather than additives used when washing the garment, which can damage the product’s breathability.
