The rain will no longer hold you back! Perfectly completes your waterproof outfit and takes up minimum space thanks to its own compact storage pocket.
At the foot of Mont Blanc, our hiking team designed lightweight overpants that can be put on without taking off your shoes, to face bad mountainous weather
CUT
The cut of these overpants was designed to be sufficiently wide so they can be put on and taken off easily. In parallel, our model creator, Vanessa, took care of the product’s patronage so that its cut remains feminine despite everything.
OVERPANTS STRUCTURE / 3 LAYERS
These overpants are made up of 3 layers, the best protection there is on the market: the membrane is glued between the inner and outer component layer (hence it being called 3 layers).
The membrane is a kind of very thin plastic film (polyurethane) that makes the component waterproof while remaining breathable.
It is protected by knitted fabric and has the advantage of being softer, lighter, more durable and often more breathable than a coating.
WATERPROOFNESS TEST
We measure the waterproof level of the fabric and that of the overall jacket.
The waterproofness of this fabric is 15,000 mm Schmerbers: this means that it resists the pressure exerted by a 15,000 mm water column (ISO standard test).
This jacket has also been through a shower test reproducing storm conditions of 12″ of rain in 3 hours.

HOW TO RESTORE THE WATER-REPELLENT PROPERTY OF MY OVERPANTS?
The water-repellent property of a fabric is its capacity to make water run off its surface without absorbing it. In this way, the overpants do not soak up water and stay lightweight and breathable. The fabric is made water-repellent by treating its outer surface. However, this property may deteriorate with use.
All the steps to restore the water-repellent properties are below:

BREATHABILITY TEST
The breathability of a material is its capacity to wick away the water vapor generated by perspiration. During intense effort, it is, therefore, essential to wear very breathable clothing so you do not stay wet.
Breathability is measured by RET, the fabric’s evaporative resistance. The lower the number, the more breathable the fabric:
RET ≤ 6: very breathable fabric
RET ≤ 12: breathable fabric
RET ≤ 20: little breathability
