For hiking, do not hesitate to take 1 size above your usual size to ensure optimal comfort going downhill and prevent your toes from hitting the front of the boots. Do not hesitate to try them on and walk in the shop (some have different surfaces that mimic a footpath).

EVOFIT concept
This boot is fitted with the EVOFIT concept. With its stretch materials and specific design for the area of the foot where the joints are located, EVOFIT technology allows the boot to perfectly fit the shape of your foot.
Rubber sole
The structure of the sole has been the subject of a long research process in our laboratories, to find the best rubber composition to optimize grip and traction. Because all needs are different, we always search for the best compromise for hiking in muddy and dry terrain.
Field tests
All our boots are tested for initial comfort and comfort in use by hikers (who do not work for Decathlon) under the same conditions you will encounter yourself when hiking. The aim is to further develop the product and validate it as objectively as possible, for your greatest satisfaction.
Waterproofing test
In a laboratory, the boot is immersed in water to mid height on a mechanical arm that simulates a given number of steps. Thanks to this test, we can determine the number of km (X steps) that the boot can make while remaining dry. Then we confirm in real conditions, in the field and in the rain, that the boot meets its promises.
Making waterproofing last longer
All too often, water enters by the ankle, so you can use gaiters to keep your feet dry for longer. We recommend you re-waterproof your boots twice a year using a waterproofing product (search for “waterproofing spray” on the Decathlon website) that will restore the original water-repellency and prevent stains.
Buying tips
How to choose your boots:
1. Try both boots on, while standing, with the socks used for hiking.
2. Tighten the laces correctly
3. Check 2 important comfort points: the heel and the front of the foot when going downhill.
4. Get up to walk with the boots on.
5. Try on several sizes and several models.
6. Wear your boots for increasingly long periods for the first few hikes to get your feet used to them.
